Suprised about all the bad reviews. I have had flume 1 for about 2 years and it has helped spot leaks numerous times. Good app, I just wish that it would offer an automatic ability to switch to dark background when the phone is in night mode. I love this device and app. I am still tweaking water usage sources but mainly I got this after a 6 month dispute with insurance over whether my leak was 14 days or more, they don't cover if over 14 days. I never want to go through that again! This works great for making sure I never have a leak that goes undetected!. The issues between B-Hyve and Flume were resolved for now. So I'm upgrading the rating back to 5 stars. Credit where credit is due. Overall the app is great. The only suggestion I have is having the "budget" more flexible (my water budget spans over two months and it begins and ends at the middle of the month). Update. One time fee is acceptable at the price they asked, bit pricey but not a subscription. Old review: Subscription? Really?? They want you to pay them until you die, or use the crippleware. Amazing customer service. Initial setup resulted in wildly inaccurate water readings (200 gallons of water for a bath). Contacted customer service, they helped recalibrate my meter in 30 seconds, a minute later the app recalibrated itself. Amazing solution for an ideal price - saved me hundreds detecting a leak. I had an issue setting the unit up, but support bent over backwards to help. We eventually got. It working and I immediately realized I had a leak. I have no long the leak had been occurring, but Flume is a brilliant solution and we'll worth the money!. Love the product but app could use some polish. As an example when I click on 8am hour in the "last 24 hr" usage bar chart, it defaults me to the 59th minute even if it's current 8:05. One thing that would be super useful would be to figure out how to either tag hours of usage with that normally happens (e.g. front lawn sprinklers) so I don't have to cross check with rachio and other home automation services. really like this product. I've been able to monitor out water usage and feel safe about leaks. Purchased this after a leak in the main line in the yard to catch it sooner if it happens again. This app/product is essential for every homeowner (or renter if you have independent access to your water meter)! The monitoring is astoundingly sensitive and it gives so much peace of mind. I'm beyond thankful for it. The system caught two leaks within 1st year. I thought we had a high bill from our water sprinkler system for months , but found out we had an issue water flowing backwards through the meter then back through the meter (charging us). We would have never figured it out without the flume. Customer support in the app is excellent. I always get my questions answered in a timely manner. Product has been working great so far!. Flume has saved me hundreds of dollars on my water bill. I determined I had a leak and was able to stop it which is saving me money every month. This a great system to have in your home. It has saved us money because we quickly where able to get problem fixed quickly. Bought the Flume water monitor, had it installed in less than 15 minutes. The app walks you through each step of the set up. At one point it asks you to wait until the "blue light" begins to blink on the hub. There isn't a blue light, until it begins to blink. There's a white light however... bit confusing. The app works well on Android 10. It immediately detected a low water leak and alerted me to it. The leak was 0.3 gallons/minute. At the cost of water here in San Antonio I figure the product paid for itself in less than one day. Found the leak to be in the backflow on our sprinkler system. Flume Tech immediately sent me a message asking if I needed help detecting the leak. Overall a great product!.
